There is a similar work named Tirumala Nayak’s palace, Madura c. 1825 (see 074.001) by the same artist, ‘Alaghery Sawrey Naig’, which was presented to the Royal Asiatic Society on 4 December 1830 by Charles Dumergue, a civil servant in the Madras Presidency.
