[RAS Raffles Java 29] Wayang Gedog

173 pages, European paper with ‘LVG’ watermark, bound with stiff paper cover, the same as Java 19, 28, 30, and 31. The f.2v of 2 ff endpapers bears a note in pencil “Raffles Java MS 29 Wayang Gedog size 10 ¼ x 8 inches.” On f.3r a title reads “Wayang Gedog.” The opening pages appear on ff. 3v-4r where the page numbering in pencil starts. There is no illumination on these pages but the text runs in 7 lines, forming a square shape appr. 8×8 cm. The text runs in 15 lines on pp.3-172 and 5 lines on the last page (p.173). The text begins with kang anyitreng tulis Purwa Kantja pralampita. Sri Bauwarna is mentioned at the beginning (Ricklefs, Voorhoeve & Gallop 2014:81; cf. Drewes 1977:199).
