Licence issued by George III to “Thomas Manning Esquire, of our City of London, and servant” for passage from Dover to France within 15 days of the date of the Pass being issued. Dated 13th December in the “Forty second Year of Our Reign” (1801) On reverse are 5 further declarations enabling Manning to be in Paris and Milan, the first is dated 23 January 1802. Printed and handwritten in ink with seal and stamps.
