Text consists of the Hālāsyamāhātmya of the Agastyasaṃhitā of the Skanda-purāṇa, in 71 chapters.

The text begins: avighnam astu | śuklāṃbaradharaṃ viṣṇuṃ śaśivarṇāñ caturbhujam | prasannavadanan dhyāyet sarvavighnopaśāntaye | namas sundaranāthāya tasmai hālāsyavāsine | catuṣṣaṣṭividhā līlā yena pratyakṣitāḥ kṣitau | śrīmatsundaranāthasya devīṃ śapharalocanāṃ | kalaye hṛdaye nityaṃ kadaṃbavanavāsinīṃ | etc. …. vakṣye purātanaṃ puṇyaṃ śrīmaddhālāsyasañjñitaṃ | śravaṇāt sarvapāpaghnaṃ vedāntesu prakāśitaṃ || … deśakālavidhānajñā Vasiṣṭhādhyā munīśvarāḥ | Vasiṣṭho Vāmadevaś ca Gautamo Varuṇo Bhṛguḥ | Bodhāyanaḥ Kāśyapaś ca Yājñavalkyaḥ Parāśaraḥ | Bharadvājoṃgirā Atriḥ Kutsaś Śaktiś Śuko mahān | Vedavyāsaḥ Kahoḻaś ca Vālmīkiḥ Kuṃbhasaṃbhavaḥ | Sanatkumāras Sanakas Sanātanasanandanau | Pulastyaḥ Pulando Gargo Viśvāmitraś ca Nāradaṃ (sic) | ity ādyā munayas sarve jñānino brahmavittamāḥ | snātvā sarveṣu tīrttheṣu jñānavāpyādikeṣu ca | jñātvā vināyakān sarvān etc.

Text ends: sarvas tarati durgāṇi sarvo bhadrāṇi paśyati | sarvas satgatim āpnoti sarvasya bhavitā sukhaṃ || iti śrīmatskānde mahāpurāṇe agastyasaṃhitāyāṃ śrī-hālāsyamāhātmye kadaṃbavanapraveśo nāma ekasaptatimoddhyāyaḥ || śivāya namaḥ || hariḥ oṃ .. etc.
