[South Indian Sanskrit MS 082, Whish MS 82] Sāhityasarvasva
Sāhityasarvasva
Language – Sanskrit
Date – [1800?]
Palm leaf; 11 or 12 lines on a folio.
Manuscript consists of the Sāhityasarvasva, a commentary on Kālidāsa’s Abhijñānaśakuntala, by Śrīnivāsācārya, son of Timmaya Ārya, of the Vaikhānasa family.
Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘5th January 1830 Tellicherry’. He suggests the manuscript was either copied for Whish in the Virodhin year (see below) corresponding to 1829/30 CE, or perhaps in 1769/70 CE.
