Palm leaf; from 8 to 10 lines on a folio; folios numbered by akṣaras according to the system discussed by Prof. Bendall in Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society, Oct 1896, pp. 190 seq.; ff. 1, 38-41 damaged, other folios slightly damaged. Manuscript consists of the following texts: 1. the Kāvyaprakāśa, by Rājānaka Mammaṭa and Alaka, in 10 Ullāsas; ff.1-4 contain the Sūtras only, ff.4-51 the Sūtras with the commentary; 2. the Brahmapārastotra, with a commentary (ff.52-54); 3. the Paramārthasāravivaraṇa, a commentary on the Śeṣāryā (ascribed to Śeṣanāga), by Rāghavānanda (ff.55-82). Winternitz notes that the date of copying is probably the early 18th century, and that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘Calicut 1824’. Text of the Kāvyaprakāśa begins: ******* niyatikṛtaniyamarahitāṃ hlādaika ***** paratantrām navarasarucirān nirmmitim ādadhātī bhāratī kaver jjayati kāvyam yaśasertthakṛte, etc. It ends (f.4): iti kāvyaprakāśe daśama ullāsaḥ || || Then the commentary begins: hariḥ śrīgaṇapataye namaḥ | granthāraṃbhe vighnavighātāya samuciteṣṭadevatāṃ granthakṛt parāmṛśati | It ends: samāptam kāvyaprakāśam || śrīpatmārabha[read śrī-Padmanābha?]gurupādasaroruhotthān reṇūn bhavābdhitaraṇasthirasetubhūtān ajñānasantamasabhedasahasraraśmidhāmno namāmy akhilalokahitaikaśīlān || kāvyaprakāśanāmedam vicitram kāvyalakṣaṇāṃ | prekṣāvatāñ camatkārakāraṇam likhitam mayā || || on name nārāyaṇāya || || on namaś śivāya || āgāmikāla uḷaye pratāpe cāyati smṛtā | āgaminyām samṛddhau || || karakṛtam aparādham kṣantum arhanti santaḥ || Rāmeṇa likhitam idam pustakam || śrīgovindāya namaḥ || . . . hariḥ || harahara || || Text of the Brahmapāra Stotra begins: pracetasam brahmapāram mune śrotum icchāmaḥ paramaṃ stavaṃ japatā kaṇḍanādevo[kañjanābhadevo?] yenārāddhyata keśavaḥ | Somaḥ | pāramparam viṣṇā pārapāraḥ pāraḥ parebhyaḥ paramārttharūpī, etc. F.54 ends: kathañ ca na iti syāt pātakan tad api hanty urugāyapāda iti bhāgavatokteḥ | brahmapāram stotram || Text of the Paramārthasāravivaraṇa begins (f.55): śrīgaṇapataye namaḥ avighnam astu || agnīṣomātmanā nāyudhadharam akhilavyāptam āsyāṃghridoṣṇāṃ sāhasrair yuktam antaḥkṛtasuranivaham svaprabhotbhā[llā corrected to tbhā?]sitāśam [|] netrair arkendurūpair vilasitam analogrānana ** travarṇam bhūṣā ** bhipradīptāvayavam avatu vo viśvarūpam murāreḥ | It ends: āryāvṛttaślokānām pañcāśītyā aśītiś ca pañca ca tataś catasṛbhir videhamuktir uktā tatas tisṛbhiḥ kramamuktir eva caturaśītir iyāntim āryeti pañcaśītir āryā bhavatīti paramārtthasāravivara[ṇa]m eta[d] Govindacandrikayā saṃhṛtasaṃsṛtikāpā[?] saṃbhūtā Rāghavānandāt [||] yosau bhāti carācarātmakajagadrūpeṇa bhūtyā svayā yaś cānantasukhaikatānavimalasvānmaṃ[read svāntaḥ or tvān mat?] prabodhasvarāṭ [|] yatsvārājyam ameyam āgamagiras saṃlakṣa[ya]nty akṣayās tasmai viśvahṛdisthitāya mahate puṃse namas kurmahe || || iti paramārtthasāravivaraṇam samāptam || || śrīgurubhyo namaḥ || . . . śrī-Vedavyāsāya namaḥ || hariharahiraṇyagarbhebhyo namaḥ || || || For more extensive quotations from the text, see Winternitz catalogue entry.
