[Photo.12] South Indian Architecture and Scenery
Collection of 27 loose albumen prints, generally in good condition, but some with cockling marks probably caused by damp. The prints are captioned in pencil on the reverse and the set is also accompanied by a handwritten list (in the hand of James Burgess?) of 43 prints arranged by location, of which a number are missing. The photographs show views at Madurai (prints 1-3), Trichinopoly (print 4), Coonoor (prints 5-10), Ootacamund (prints 11-14) and The Seven Pagodas at Mamallapuram (prints 15-27).
