An original drawing with caption ‘A Dookarn (shop) where grain is sold’, c. 1818, by Jairam Das, who worked in Patna from 1815 to 1840.  

Part of an album of 36 drawings donated by Major-General Charles (Carlos) Joseph Doyle on 15 March 1834. Unmounted drawing on paper embellished with impressed neo-classical decoration to edges. Outer borders edged with green watercolour.
