An original drawing with caption ‘Method of weaving a kind of Broad Tape’ inscribed in ink on album folio, c. 1818, by Jairam Das, who worked in Patna from 1815 to 1840.

Part of an album of 36 drawings donated by Major-General Charles (Carlos) Joseph. Album folio 10, inscribed in ink verso: Royal Asiatic Society, Presented by Col. C. J. Doyle 15/3/34. Unmounted drawing on paper embellished with impressed neo-classical decoration to edges. Outer borders edged with blue watercolour; 19.6 x 12.4 cm.
