History

Jean Boisselier was a specialist of Khmer art and member of École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO). He was responsible for the restoration of Angkor. He followed the study of Philippe Sterne and established the theory about the development of Khmer statues. His prominent publications are _La statuaire khmère et son evolution_ , _La sculpture en Thaïlande_ , _Asie du Sud-Est : I_ and _La statuaire du Champa_ .
