RAS Whish MS 12(1) consists of the first Praśna, Adhyāyas 1-14, of the Sūryasiddhānta; RAS Whish MS 12(2) consists of the Kāmadogdhrī, a commentary on the Sūryasiddhānta, by Tammayajvan, or Tammayārya, a son of Mallādhvarīndra of Paragipura (who was a son of Mallayajvan, and a grandson of Honnārya). Whish notes that the second text is written in a different hand from the first, and also that the text of the Sūryasiddhānta differs considerably from Mr. Fitz Edward Hall’s edition in the Bibliotheca Indica series.

Adhyāya IV ends f.123; Adhyāya V ends f.137b.
