The manuscript consists of the following: 1. Commentaries on the Saptalakṣaṇa; 2. a commentary on the Bhāradvājaśikṣā, by Lakṣmaṇa Jaṭāvallabhaśāstrin.

The Saptalakṣaṇa consists of seven phonetic treatises referring to the Black Yajur Veda (See Burnell, A. C. ‘Catalogue of a collection of Sanskrit manuscripts. Part I Vedic manuscripts’ (London, 1869), p.10 seq. and Burnell, A. C. ‘Classified index to the Sanskrit MSS. in the Palace at Tanjore’ (London, 1880) p.5 seq. The commentaries are as follows: 1. the Śāmānavyākhyāna, a commentary on the Saṃhitāśamānalakṣaṇa (f.1-12); 2. the Viliṃghyavyākhyāna by Puṇḍarīkākṣisūri, a commentary on the Viliṃghyalakṣaṇa of Nārāyaṇa (f.12-21); 3. the Naparavyākhyāna or Naparapaddhativyākhyāna, a commentary on Śaurisūnu’s Naparalakṣaṇa (f.22-26b); 4. the Taparapaddhati or Taparapaddhativyākhyāna, a commentary on the Taparalakṣaṇa (f.26b-28b); 5. the Avarṇivyākhyāna, a commentary on the Avarṇilakṣaṇa (f.28b-35b); 6. the Ākārapaddhati or Āvarṇivyākhyāna, a commentary on the Āvarṇilakṣaṇa (f.35b-39b); 7. the Aniṃghyavyākhyāna, a commentary on the Aniṃghyalakṣaṇa (f.39b-58).

Winternitz notes that the manuscript has been much corrected.

Text of the Śamānavyākhyāna begins: atheti adhikārārtthothaśabdaḥ | yathā athaśabdonuśāsanam iti etc.

It ends: iti śamānavyākhyānaṃ saṃpūrṇaṃ || hariḥ om ||

Text of the Viliṃghyavyākhyāna begins: athā [sic] viliṃghya (-khya)-vyākhyānaṃ | om praṇipatya jagannāthaṃ Puṇḍarīkākṣisūriṇā | viliṃghyalakṣaṇavyākhyā kriyatedya mayā svayaṃ | etc.

It ends: viliṃghyavyākhyānaṃ saṃpūrṇaṃ || hariḥ om ||

Text of the Naparavyākhyāna begins: om atha naparavyākhyānaṃ | natveti sakalanivṛttihetuṃ | … navaṃ nūtanaṃ | lakṣaṇaṃ | Śaurisūnur ahaṃ | pravakṣyāmi | ity artthaḥ | etc.

It ends: narapaddhativyākhyānaṃ samāptaṃ || hariḥ | om ||

Text of the Taparapaddhati begins: atha taparapaddhatiḥ | annādyān nirbhajati etc.

It ends: iti taparapaddhativyākhyānaṃ samāptaṃ || hariḥ | om ||

Text of the Avarṇivyākhyāna begins: atha avarṇivyākhyānaṃ | avarṇinyanuktam ity ādi vācyāntaṃ | pūrvasyāvarṇilakṣaṇasya anuktyadhikoktipurūktibhiḥ | etc.

It ends: ity ākārādīni padāny uktāni || hariḥ | om ||

Text of the Ākārapaddhati begins: atha ākārapaddhatiḥ | antarikṣam ivāgnīddhraṃ | etc.

It ends: ity ākārādipadāny uktāni || āvarṇivyākhyānaṃ samāptaṃ || om ||

Text of the Aniṃgyavyākhyāna begins: atha aniṃgyavyākhyānaṃ | munimānasetyādiślokatrayeṇādau prārīpsitasya lakṣaṇasya avighnena parisamāptaye maṃgaḻam ādadhānaḥ abhīṣṭadevatān namaskṛtya viṣayan darśayati | etc.

It ends: ity aniṃga[sic]vyākhyānaṃ pūrṇaṃ || hariḥ | om ||

Text of the commentary on the Bhāradvājaśikṣā begins: namaś śivāya sāṃbāya sagaṇāya sasūnave | sanandine sagaṅgāya savṛṣāya namo namaḥ | ddhyātvāsadya jagannāthaṃ sāṃbaṃ sarvārtthasādhakam | vyākhyāyatedhunā śikṣā Bhāradvājamunīritā | pārīsphi[read prārīpsi-]tasya granthasyāvighnena parisamāptyartthaṃ ādau iṣṭadevatān namaskārarūpaṃ maṃgaḻya [read maṃgaḻaṃ] svayaṃ kṛtvā śiṣyānuśīkṣāyai granthato nibaddhnān | etc.

It ends: Bhāradvājamuniproktā Bhāradvājena dhīmatā | vyākhyātā Lakṣmaṇākhyena Jaṭāvallabhaśāstriṇā || ṣaṣṭiślokaparyyantaṃ mayā vyākhyānaṃ kṛtan tataḥ || karakṛtam aparādhaṃ kṣantum arhanti santaḥ || hariḥ ||
