Taittirīya-Prātiśākhya and Tribhāṣyaratna

Winternitz notes that the Parthiva year in which the manuscript was copied (see below) probably corresponds to 1766 CE, or possibly to 1825-26 CE.

The manuscript consists of the text of the Taittirīya-Prātiśākhya, followed by the text of the Tribhāṣyaratna, a commentary on the Taittirīya-Prātiśākhya.

Text of the Taittirīya-Prātiśākhya begins: atha varṇasamāmnāyaḥ | atha navāditas samānākṣarāṇi | dve dve savarṇe hrasvadīrghe | na plutapūrvaṃ | ṣodaśādita svarāḥ | śeṣo vyañjanāni, etc.

It ends: saṃsadaṃ gacched ācāryyasaṃsadam iti || atha catasro dvādaśa || iti dvitīyapraśnaḥ prātiśākhye samāptaḥ || hariḥ om śubham astu ||

Text of the Tribhāṣyaratna begins: bhaktiyuktaḥ praṇamyāhaṃ gaṇeśacaraṇadvayaṃ gurūn api girān devīm idaṃ vakṣyāmi lakṣaṇaṃ | vyākhyānaṃ prātiśākhyasya vīkṣya vārarucādikaṃ | kṛtan tribhāṣyaratnaṃ yat bhāsate bhūsurapriyaṃ | etc.

It ends: iti tribhāṣyaratne prātiśākhyavivaraṇe dvitīyapraśne dvādaśoddhyāyaḥ || samāpto dvitīyapraśnaḥ || hariḥ oṃ || śrīmatpārtthivavatsare madhuṛtau māse madhau śyāmaḻe pakṣe proṣṭhapadarkṣake kavidine dvādaśyupetehani | granthaś cottararatnaśabdamiḻitaśrīmattribhāṣyābhidha śrīmad-Veṃkusudhīvareṇa likhitaś Śauṇḍena śāstrottame || hariḥ om śrīgurubhyo namaḥ ||
