Text begins: asya śrī-bhagavatgītāśāstramahāmantrasya | Vedavyāso bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | anuṣṭup cchandaḥ | tāsāṃ gītānāṃ kvacin nānācchandāṃsi | evaṃprakārīṇi cchandāṃsi | viśvarūpo viṣṇuḥ paramātmā bhagavān śrīman-nārāyaṇo devatā | aśocyān anvaśocas tvaṃ prajñāvādāṃś ca bhāṣasa iti bījaṃ | sarvadharmmān parityajya mām ekaṃ śaraṇaṃ vrajeti śaktiḥ | ūrddhvamūlam adhaśśākham aśvatthaṃ prāhur avyayam iti kīlakaṃ | śrībhagavatsamārādhanārtthe jape viniyogaḥ | etc.

F.5b: visṛjya saśarañ cāpaṃ śokasaṃvignamānasaḥ || śokasaṃvignamānasa iti || iti on tat sad iti mahābhārate śatasahasrikāyāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ vaiyāsikyāṃ bhīṣmaparvaṇi śrībhagavadgītāsūpaniṣatsu parabrahmavidyāyāṃ yogaśāstre śrīkṛṣṇārjjunasaṃvāde arjjunaviṣādayogo nāma prathamoddhyāyaḥ ||
