Viṣṇupādādikeśāntastuti

Text consists of: 1. the Viṣṇupādādikeśāntastuti by Śaṅkara, with a commentary called Sukhabodhinī; 2. the Uttaragītā, a kind of appendix to the Bhagavadgītā, in three Adhyāyas. Winternitz notes that this text has been printed, with a different commentary, in the Kāvyamālā, Part II, p.1-20.

Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish (on verso of first blank folio) dated “Calicut 1825”, and he thinks the manuscript is not much older than this.

Text of the Viṣṇupādādikeśāntastuti begins: hariḥ | nābhināḻikalolaṃbabhaṃgīvāṇītapaḥphalaṃ | kuḍuṃbikalaśāṃbhodheḥ kanyāyā[ḥ] kalaye mahaḥ | aḻīkalocanāṭopād aḻīkaṃ rataye dadat | vipralaṃbhaṃ purastrīṇāṃ puṣṇat tejo bhajāmahe |

It ends: paramānandam ātmasvarūpaṃ praviśati tatraiva līyate brahmānandasvarūpeṇāvatiṣṭhata iti siddhaṃ || iti śrīmatparamahaṃsaparivrājakācāryya-śrī-Govinda-bhagavat-pūjyapādaśiṣya-śrī-Śaṃkara-bhagavatpādakṛta-śrīviṣṇupādādikeśaparyyantastute[r] vyākhyā saṃgṛhītā samāptā || hariḥ | om |

Text of the Uttaragītā begins: kṛṣṇāya vāsudevāya jñānamudrāya yogine | nāthāya rukmiṇīśāya namo vedāntavedine | Arjuna uvāca | yad ekaṃ niṣkaḻaṃ brahma vyomātītan nirañjanaṃ | apratarkyam anirdeśyaṃ vināśotpattivarjitaṃ | etc.

F.4: oṃ tat sad iti śrīma[t]duttaragītāsūpaniṣatsu parabrahmavidyāyāṃ yogaśāstre śrīkṛṣṇārjunasaṃvāde advaitavāsan nāma prathamoddhyāyaḥ ||

It ends: sarvacintāvinirmmuktan niścintam acalaṃ bhavet | on tat sad iti śrībhagavatgītāsūpaniṣatsu parabrahmavidyāyāṃ yogaśāstre śrīkṛṣṇārjunasaṃvade advaitavāsan nāma tritīyoddhyāyaḥ || śrīkṛṣṇārpaṇam astu śrīgurubhyo namaḥ | śrīdakṣiṇāmūrttaye namaḥ ||
