Palm leaf; 13 to 15 lines on a folio. Text consists of the Uttarakaṇḍa of the Rāmāyaṇa in 110 sargas. Winternitz notes that there are entries by C. M. Whish dated ‘Tellicherry 1826’, but that he thinks the manuscript may be 80 to 100 years older. Text begins: prāptarājasya rāmasya rākṣasānāṃ vadhe kṛte | ājagmur mmunayas tatra rāghavaṃ pratinandituṃ | kauśikotha yavakrīto narebhyaś ca vana eva ca | kaṇvo medhātitheḥ putraḥ pūrvasyān diśi cāśritāḥ dattātreyotha bhagavān namuciḥ pramucis tathā | ātreyaputro dharmmātmā ṛṣis sārasvataḥ prabhuḥ | etc. It ends: idam ākhyānaṃ āyuṣyaṃ paṭhan rāmāyaṇan naraḥ | saputrapautro lokesmin pretya svarge mahīyate | ayoddhyāpi purī ramyā śūnyā varṣagaṇān bahūn | ṛsabhaṃ prāpya rājānaṃ ni[vā]vāsam upayāsyanti | etad ākhyānam āyuṣyaṃ sabhaviṣyaṃ sahottaraṃ | kṛtavān pracetasaḥ (sahodaraḥ pr.m.) putraḥ sa tat brahmāpy anvamanyata || ity ārṣe śrīmadrāmāyaṇe ādikāvye Vālmīkīye śrīmaduttararāmāyaṇe daśādhikaśatatamas sargaḥ || hariḥ om | śubham astu | … sītālakṣmaṇabharataśatrughnahanumatsametaśrīrāmacandrasvāmine namaḥ || … mīnākṣīsundareśvarāsvāmine namaḥ || … sakalalokanāthakāyai namaḥ | hariḥ om || South Indian Sanskrit / Whish Manuscript Collection See ’A catalogue of South Indian Sanskrit manuscripts (especially those of the Whish Collection) belonging to the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland’ by M.
