Palm leaf; 8 or 9 lines on a folio.

Manuscript consist of 3 texts, as follows: 1. the Sūryasiddhānta in 14 adhyāyas (ff.40); 2. the Aṣṭādhyāyī by Pāṇini (ff.43); 3. the Viṣṇubhujaṅga, a stotra in 18 stanzas. Winternitz notes that this text is ascribed to Śaṅkara in Burnell, A. C. ‘Classified index to the Sanskrit MSS. in the Palace at Tanjore’ (London, 1880), p.201b.

Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘Tellicherry 1828’, but he thinks the manuscript may be about 50 years older.

Manuscript has been damaged by insects in some places.
