Manuscript consists of the following texts: 1. the Vākyakaraṇadīpikā, a short commentary (laghuprakāśikā, laghudīpikā) on the Vākyakaraṇa, in 5 Adhyāyas, by Sundararāja, the son of Ananta Nārāyaṇa, dedicated to Somadeva, the son of Raṅganātha; 2. astronomical tables, called Kujādipañcagrahavākyam.

“The Vākya-Karaṇa, a work of the Ārya school, seems to have been accepted as the guide for the preparation of solar pañchāṅgs in the Tamil and Malayāḻam countries of Southern India from very ancient times, and even to the present day either that or some similar work of the Ārya school is so used.” R. Sewell and S. B. Dīkshit, ‘The Indian calendar’, London 1896, p.8. Winternitz notes the following entry by C. M. Whish on the verso of the third blank folio at the beginning of the manuscript: “The Vākya-Kāraṇam. The astronomical work used in the Carnatick – with the astronomical Tables of the Sun and planets &c. annexed.”

Text of the Vākyakaraṇadīpikā begins: śrīgaṇeśāya namaḥ | śrīgurucaraṇāravindābhyān namaḥ | jyotiścakrapravṛttāya jyotīrūpāya bhāsvate | jyotirddarśśāya bhaktebhyo jyotiśśāstrakṛte namaḥ | śrī-Nīlakaṇṭhāṃghriniviṣṭacetā śrī-Somadevānujighṛkṣayaiva | vicitravākyair vivṛtaṃ punaś ca prakāśayehaṃ karaṇaṃ laghīyaḥ | svābhīpsitagranthasya niṣpratyūhaparisamāptaye pracayagamanaviśiṣṭācāraparipālanābhyāñ ca sveṣṭadevatānamaskārapuraskāreṇa cikīrṣṣitam artthaṃ pratijānīte | praṇamya kariśailastham iti | etc.

F.15b-16: iti vākyakaraṇalaghuprakāśikāyāṃ Somadevādṛtāyāṃ Sundararājaviracitāyāṃ prathamoddhyāyaḥ ||

F.31b: iti Somadevādṛte vākyakaraṇasya prakāśane | sphuṭāddhyāyo dvitīyopi saṃkṣepeṇa samāpitaḥ | iti Sundararājaviracitāyāṃ Somadevādṛtāyāṃ vākyakaraṇadīpikāyāṃ sphuṭādhikāro nāma dvitīyoddhyāyaḥ ||

Adhyāya V ends (f.72b): iti śrī-Vañchyajanma-śrī-Raṃganāthaputra-Somadevādṛtena Sundararājena viracitāyāṃ vākyakaraṇalaghudīpikāyāṃ pañcamoddhyāyaḥ | om śubham astu śrīgurucaraṇāravindābhyāṃ namaḥ | sūryyādinavagrahadevatābhyo namaḥ |

It ends: nīrado rasecchuḥ 348 ravigonirddāsaḥ 378 vākyaṃ 19 dhīraś śaneḥ || munivākyaṃ samāptaṃ || kujādipañcagrahavākyaṃ parisamāptam | om śubham astu etc.
