Manuscript consists of the text of the Ratnāpaṇa, a commentary by Kumārasvāmin, son of Mallinātha, and younger brother of Kolācala Peddācārya [?] on Vidyānātha’s Pratāparudra, in 9 Prakaraṇas.
Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘Tellicherry 1829’, but he thinks the MS may be about 50 years older.
Text begins: kalyāṇāni karatu kaścana pumān arddhāṃgadantāvaḻo gaṇḍābhogavilolupān aḻigaṇān karṇāñcalaiś cālayan | yatpādāṃburuhāvalaṃbaśaraṇāḥ pūrve pumāṃsas traya[s] trailokyasthitisargasaṃhṛtividhau nirvighnasiddhodyamāḥ | vastukalyāṇadan divyam astu nārīnarātmajaṃ | svopajñaṃ vāṅmayaṃ yasya vihāragṛhavedikā | ** ṇiṃ [read vāṇīṃ] kāṇabhujīm ajīgaṇad avāśāsīc ca vaiyyāsikīm antas ta[n]tram araṃsta pannagagavīkuṃbheṣu cājāgarat | vācām ācakalad rahasyam akhilaṃ yaś cākṣapādasphurāṃ lokebhūd yadupajñam eva viduṣāṃ saujanyajanyaṃ yaśaḥ | [s]triskandhaśāstrajaladhiṃ cuḻukīkurute sma yaḥ | tanya śrī-Mallināthasya tanayojani tādṛśaḥ |
kolacalapeddāyāryyaḥ [read Kolācala-Peddācāryaḥ?] pramāṇapadavākyapāradṛśvā yaḥ | vyākhyātanikhilaśāstraḥ prasaṅgakarttā ca sakalavidyāsu | tasyānujanmā tadanugrahāptavidyānavadyo vinatāpanammraḥ | svāmī vipaścid vitanoti ṭīkāṃ pratāparudrīyarahasyabhettriṃ | puṇyaślokaguṇoktiśāṇakaṣaṇād uttejanālaṃbhitaṃ sañjagrāha rasādiratnanicayaṃ vidyāvināthaḥ purā | sohan tad vyavahārahetum adhunā kiñcit karomy āpaṇan tatrānugrahamūlyatobhilaṣitaṃ gṛṇhantu dhanyā janāḥ | yady asti gūḍham akhilaṃ śaktyā tat tat prakāśyate | nāmūlaṃ likhyate kiñcit nānapekṣitam ucyate | atha tatrabhavān Vidyānāthanāmā mahākavir alaṃkāraśāstram ārabhamāṇaḥ etc.
F.46: iti pratāparudravyākhyāne ratnāpaṇākhyāne kāvyasvarūpan nirūpaṇan nāma dvitīyaṃ prakaraṇaṃ ||
F.139: iti pratāparudravyākhyāne ratnāpaṇākhyāne guṇān nirūpaṇan nāma ṣaṣthaprakaraṇaṃ |
It ends: vistarabhīrubhir uparamyata iti sarvam avadātaṃ || iti pratāparudrīyavyākhyāne ratnāpaṇākhyāne miśrālaṃkāran nirūpaṇan nāma navamaṃ prakaraṇaṃ || pratāparudrīyavyākhyānaṃ samāptam || śrīguru- etc.
