Manuscript consists of the following texts: the Chandogamantrabrāhmaṇabhāṣya, a commentary on the Mantra-Brāhmaṇa or Mantra-Parvan of the Sāmaveda, by Sāyaṇa, in 2 chapters; the Mantraparvan, or Mantrapāṭha, or Mantra-Brāhmaṇa of the Sāmaveda, in 2 Paṭalas, containing the mantras prescribed by the Gobhila-Gṛhyasūtra.
Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘Tellicherry 1830’, but he thinks the manuscript may be about 50 years older.
Text of the Chandogamantrabrāhmaṇabhāṣya begins: praṇipatya gurūn ādyān vedavedārtthakovidān | yatprasādena jānanti pravaktum mādṛśā api | sadā samatvavaiṣamyanirābādhatvahetubhiḥ | ccha[read cchā]-ndogyamantrabhāṣyaṃ vai Guṇaviṣṇor vidhāsyate | ahaṃ padyaviśālārtthapramāvākyoptivīśvataḥ | tathāpy āśrayasaundaryyā[j] janomuṣmin prapaśyatu | aditenumanyasvety ādi | yajustrayaṃ pariṣecane viniyuktaṃ adityādidevatākaṃ aditir devatā sāpi sarvatra karmmaṇy anujñānan dāsyati | etc.
F.41b: vedārtthasya prakāśena tamo hāddi vākaraḥ susthirām anugṛṇhātu[sic] vidyātīrtthamaheśvaraḥ | śrīmadrājarājaparameśvaravaidikamārgapravarttaka-śrīvīra-Bukka-bhūpālasā[mrā]jyadhurandhareṇa Sāyaṇāryyaviracite Mādhavīye vedārtth[y]aprakāśe sāmabrāhmaṇabhāṣye mantraparvaṇi prathamoddhyāyaḥ || yasya niśvasitā vedā, etc.
It ends: vedārtthasya prakāśena tamo hārdan nivārayan | pūjyāmaś caturo vedān vidyātīrtthamunīśvaraṃ || iti śrīmatrājādhirājapārameśvaravaidikamārgapravarttakaśrīvīra-Bukkabhūpālasāmmrājyadhurandhareṇa Sāyaṇācāryyeṇa viracite Mādhavīye vedārtthaprakāśe cchandogamantrabrāhmaṇabhāṣye mantraparvaṇi dvitīyapāṭhake saptamaḥ khaṇḍaḥ || śrīgurucaraṇā- etc.
Text of the Mantraparvan begins: deva savitaḥ pra suva yajñaṃ pra suva yajñapatiṃ bhagāya divyo gandharvaḥ ketapūḥ ketan naḥ punātu vācaspatir vācan na svadatu, etc.
It ends: pra ṇu vocañ cikituṣe janāyā[sic] mā gām anāgām adhitāṃ [read aditim?] vadhiṣṭa om utsṛjatā || mantra[ṃ]parvaṇi dvitīyaḥ pāṭha[ḥ] samāptaṃ || hariḥ | mantrapāṭha samāptaṃ ||
