Bhāṣyārthasaṃgraha

Language – Sanskrit

Date – [1800?]
Palm leaf; 10 or 11 lines on a Malayalam folio, 8 or 9 lines on a Grantha folio.

Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated 1831, but he thinks the manuscript may be about 50 years older.

Manuscript consists of the following texts: 1. the Sāṅkhyasaptati or Sāṅkhyakārikā, by Īśvarakṛṣṇa (ff.1-3); 2. the Bhāṣyārthasaṃgraha, by Brahmānanda Yati, the pupil of Viśveśvarānanda (ff.4-10); 3. a commentary on the Sāṅkhyasaptati, by Vācaspatimiśra (ff.1-45); 4. the Sāṅkhyavivaraṇatattvakaumudī, a super commentary on Vācaspatimiśra’s work (No.3), by Bodhabhāratī, a pupil of Bādhāraṇya (ff.45-80).
