Palm leaf; 7 or 8 lines on a folio. Manuscript consists of the Prakṛti (ff.1-157) and Prakṛticalākṣara (ff.157b-165) of the Sāmaveda. Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish as follows: “This volume contains the PRAKṚTIH of the SĀMAVĒDAH; and the CHALĀKSHRAM of the same — C. M. Whish — Tellicherry 1831 — NB. The Chalāksharam is a running index of the Prakṛitih.” The first 6 folios contain an index to the manuscript, written by C. M. Whish. Winternitz the date of 1831 given by Whish, and thinks the manuscript is probably not much older. Text begins: gautamasya parkkaḥ | o ta gnā i | ā cho yā hī ṇa vo i to yā pre i | tokāyā pre i | gṛ kā ṇā no hā | vyā co dāto yā pre i | tokāyā pre i | nāghī i ho tā sā | tsā ve i bā au ho vā | hī ṭū ṣī | di 7 pa 9 mā 9 jho || ā te gna ā yāhi vī | takayā i | gṛ kaḥ ṇā no havya dā tāyā i | ni ghai ho tā satsi barhā i ṣi | baverhā i ṣā au ho vā | bajarhī ṣī | di 9 pa 6 ma 6 tṛ || etc. See Sāmaveda I, 1, 1, 1. F.157b begins: agnijho tra trā tam agne jhū agnin duku | agnirvatrā dhudhedi | preṣṭha chodhau kū | tvannojhego | chyundainṛ | ā te the jū | tvam agne bī | agne vivasvad agho ekonaviṃśati prathamaḥ || namas te ḍu | dūtaṃ vo ṇū | etc. See Sv.
