[South Indian Sanskrit MS 176, Whish MS 191] Taittirīya-Samhitā
Language – Sanskrit
Date – [1800?]
Palm leaf; from 14 to 16 lines on a folio. Manuscript consists of the Taittirīya-Saṃhitā, in 7 Kāṇḍas, the Saṃhitā-Pāṭha, complete, unaccented. The first 3 folios contain a table of contents indicating the start of the Praśnas and Kāṇḍas. Winternitz notes that there is an entry by C. M. Whish dated ‘December 1831’, and that the Vyaya year immediately preceding 1831 is 1826-27 CE. He thinks the MS may have been written in that year, or in 1766-67 CE.
